Job Description
STL Technology Partners is seeking an Clinical Systems Administrator for an opportunity in Champaign, IL. Candidate must be experienced in clinical cardiology, oncology , or radiology experience and Cardiology systems.

Job Summary

POSITION SUMMARY: Participates in analysis, program design, coding, documentation, software support and other programming tasks needed to produce reports and maintain information files while adhering to Cardiology and Information Technology (IT) standards. Prepares the logical interface between cardiology and non-cardiology related programs. Supports cardiology software packages from outside vendors while interacting with internal customers. Assists, as required, in the solution of operational difficulties encountered in executing cardiology application programs. This includes implementation, configuration, coordination, control, maintenance, troubleshooting, security, usage monitoring, and the development of specialized procedures relating to the use of the Cardiology environment. Aids in the evaluation, selection and training of new cardiology products or services as they relate to information technology, performs comprehensive systems analysis and progressive support methodologies for all Cardiology applications. Responsible for providing technical and organizational leadership for the cardiology database environment including overseeing the development and organization of the databases, assessment and implementation of new cardiology technologies, and providing IT with a long term perspective on the relationship of database technology to the cardiology business opportunities facing the Heart Center and Cardiac Cath Lab. Performs installation, configuration, and maintenance of Personal Computer (PC) hardware, Windows terminals, software, and peripherals, including workstation network software within the Heart Center and Cardiac Cath Lab.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education: Associates Degree required. Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or clinical related discipline preferred. Minimum of two years of information technology experience in a health care environment, including systems design, analysis, and programming exposure utilizing database techniques.

Licensure/Certification: Prefer professional certification as a cardiovascular technician or technologist through Cardiovascular Credentialing International or with the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers or Registered Nurse with cardiovascular experience.

Experience: Five years’ experience is preferred and is a valid substitution for academic achievement. Prefer cardiovascular technologist, technician, cardiovascular nurse or related experience. Demonstrated ability or potential to design, develop, and implement projects and support software with minimal supervision/guidance.
